Literary forms in Song Dynasty developed vigorously and lots of famous author appeared. Song Shi (Song poetry) focused on accumulation of erudition and disclose of personal talent. However, Song Ci (Song lyric) was closer to ways of the world. It disclosed more sentiment of Song people. Therefore we could peep at Song people’s favorite books and reviews through Song Ci. Song lyricist absorbed best bits out of the best things of predecessors and turned it to their own nutrition, so Song Ci revealed more era characteristics and personal thoughts. “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” echoed down the centuries and had great influences on later generation’s creation. Either piggybacking “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” stories and quotes, or appraising “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu”, Song lyricist must pored over it well. Therefore “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” should be considered as a creative source of Song lyricist. This thesis proposes that, if we want to obtain the research materials on the literary-reception history of “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” specifically, we should start with aspects stated below : 1. annotation of “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” 2. commentaries of “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” 3. imitation of “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” ( including sequels and parody ) 4. criticism of “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” (including criticism in poetry, prose, lyrics and other literary forms) 5. piggyback of “Shi Shuo Hsin Yu” stories. The latter two ways were most common among Song lyricist.
