本研究之目的在了解大學生對大學的向心力與其個人特質及生活經驗的關係,並比較各類變項對學生向心力的重要性。經抽取667名大學生為對象,進行實際的調查與分析後,共得三項主要的發現:第一,大學生對大學的向心力因科系性質的不同而有差異;第二,大學生對大學的向心力與學生就讀的年級、師生非正式互動的質與量,對大學教學的滿意程度、以及公平的知覺等變項具有密切的關係,唯此種關係亦因系別而略有差異;第三,綜合比較後,各變項對各系學生向心力的重要性,依次為師生互動的品質、對大學教學的滿意程度、公平的知覺及年級等。故可推論:就大學生向心力而言,心理契約說較籌碼理論更具有解釋力。基於此種發現,本研究提出鼓勵增進大學師生的非正式互動及研究改進大學的教學與評量等建議,藉供大學教育與輔導工作人員的參考。
This study is concerned with identifying those variables that are related to students' commitment to their college. Six hundrd and sixty-seven (667) students sampled from National Taiwan College of Education are investigated in this study. The results of this study indicated that students' commitment are significantly different in different academic disciplines, and strongly related to the quality of student-faculty informal interactions and students' satisfaction with college instruction. Moreover, Students' commitment was found to be moderately related to the frequency of student-faculty informal interactions, students' percieved equity, and school years. Results are compared with earlier findings and implications for further research are discussed.
