     本研究旨在深入採討臺灣大學生學習策略的使用情形以助於英語教學的推展。本研究將六十四位大學一年級的學生分組做小組訪談,期望藉由訪談的調查發覺先前問卷所未觸及之細節或策略,並深入了解學生實際使用英語學習策略之情形。研究結果發現,這些學生會使用多種不同的英語學習策略以幫助其學習英文生字,練習聽力,閱讀,寫作,口頭報告,及一般會話。本訪談研究結果同時提供了問卷所未觸及學習策略使用情形細節。
     This paper reports the second phase of a study which investigated the use of language learning strategies by college students of English in Taiwan. In the first phase of this study, students' strategy use was examined by a questionnaire. The second phase of this study involved a more in-depth investigation of 64 freshman students' use of language learning strategies through group interviews. A variety of English learning strategies were found for vocabulary learning, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing composition, oral presentation, and daily conversation. In particular, the results of the second phase not only added depth to the previous questionnaire data, but also revealed additional information and details that might not be uncovered by the questionnaire.
