荀子政治哲學的思考，乃是針對時代的混亂。春秋戰國時代，諸侯爭霸，政治社會由治而亂。荀子的政治哲學的目的就在於思考如何以周禮為典範，重建政治社會的社會秩序。 荀子的政治哲學是以「社會」為問題思考，他認為對禮壞樂崩的的社會必須定分，分能使社會紛爭得以平息，群居生活有了制約，免於混辭，又必須禮以立體，據事制範。在禮的重建下配合人文世界的義合法，社會秩序得以重建。禮是社共同的目的。因此，建立一個合理富禮的社會，必須先有分，繼而重建禮的世界。是以本文以分和禮為政治哲學的研究重心。

　　　　　An introduction to Political Philosophy of Hsun-Tze The mainstream of Hsun-Tze's political philosophy was on how to cope with the social chaos. During the Epoch of Spring. Autumn and Warring States there were, belligerent seigniors trying to increase their power on politics, the disorder ensued. The purpose of Hsu-Tze political philosophy aimed to set up a good example based on "Chou Rites" and rebuild social order. Therefore, "Society" was put in the centre of the frame of his works and "Rites" was the remedy for the collaping body of a society. Moreover, with the clarification of "Division", social dispute could easily be eased and gregarious life could go under restraint without strife. Under the reconstruction of "Rites", according with "Righteousness" and "Legalism", social order was whereby rebuilt. The text of this paper educes "Division" and "Rites" as the key points on Hsun-Tze's political philosophy.
