欺凌行為在國中小校園屢見不鮮,然而在校園內卻極少受到重視;國外對於欺凌行為與適當處置的相關研究,都認為欺凌行為危害至鉅、而適時適當的處置對於個人未來的社會適應與犯罪率的減低有正向的效果,但是國內針對欺凌行為調查的研究文獻相當缺乏、大都是概括在「校園暴力行為」的大標題下,基於防微杜漸的第一線預防觀點,確實有必要針對欺凌行為做初步的調查與研究。本研究乃針對臺灣南部地區國小與國中學生對於校園內學生欺凌行為種類、欺凌者與受害者特質及其因應方式做問卷調查,藉此瞭解我國國中小校園欺凌行為之實際、並做比較。研究結果顯示欺凌行為發生次數最多者為口頭上的髒話、捉弄侮辱、肢體上的碰撞推擠,而所有欺凌行為形式在國中發生機率都顯著高於國小階段;發生欺凌行為的地點以廁所、學校走廊、上學回家路上、教室內最多;欺凌行為在國小與國中中年級發生最多,學生對於欺凌行為的因應方式也隨著成熟有差異,國小以報告師長或成人為主、自身涉入處置較少,國中生雖然會介入、但是也有其他額外的考量。
Bullying behavior is a pervasive phenomenon in school settings. Research on bullying behavior also suggests that bullying behavior can be a potential for criminal activities or anti-social conducts in adulthood, in-time management surely enhances individuals' psychological health and learning efficiency. The research on bullying was scare in Taiwan, related studies were performed under the title of “aggresive behavior” instead of a more precise and specific field. In terms of effective prevention strategies, it is necessary to focus on bullying behavior and investigate the reality. This article is targeting on the bullying behavior, characteristics of bullies and victims, as well as the immediate coping strategies adopted by elementary and middle school students. The results showed that: bullying behavior rate is high at both academic levels; the most undertaken bullying behaviors were verbal abuse, followed by physical shoving. Most bullying occurred in the school hallway, washrooms, on the way home, and in the classroom. Contrary to the literature, bullying behavior happened less in the lower grade for both school settings. Students know well about bullies' and victims' characteristics and the coping strategies they used differently in reporting to authorities, confrontation with both parties involved, and other considerations.
