This paper is intended to address the grand education about life for the present society in Taiwan and provide some methods in response. The first part of the article is to point out the fact that the chaotic society with its values twisted and those academic discourses deconstructing traditional culture together lead to the accelerated fall of the society in different aspects. We would specifically discuss about the corruption of media, the decline of marriage and family values, the fall of work and economy ethics, and the popularity of value-deconstructing discourses that lie behind these phenomena. Then we will show how to reflect on the respond to the situation. The second part of the paper is about how the academic education should reinforce life education, which is to help students, through reflection and practice, deepen their outlooks, internalized their values, pursue physical and spiritual improvement and the holistic education of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. In this paper, we explain in details the following three independent but interrelated areas of life education-ultimate care and practice, ethical thinking and reflection, the integration of personality and development of spirituality. In fact, people in general rather than students only should put these fundamental life educations into reflection and practice so as to lead a meaningful and happy life. The last part of this paper extends beyond the school and offers some visions to face the challenges from the perspectives of society, adult education, and the development of national institution. It mainly addresses three areas, the adult education and welfare system that support the balanced development of family and career, the policies and social structures equipped with the ethics of a macro-society, and the establishment of various ethic centers at the national level that improve the citizen's ethics and advance the ethicality of the nation's policies.
