In order to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Yi-Chang Elementary School, the participating teachers established a growth group producing the “2004 Swing to Yi-Chang” radio program. By participating growth group activities, teachers in the communities of practice could learn the production of radio broadcasting, recognize the positive sides of the media functions and achieve self-fulfillment. These are the main topics of the research. The research adopted an individual case study method, combined with ex-post facto research, theory references and focused group discussion. Aiming at the target objects “the participating school staff in making the program”, hoped that the team would have a general understanding about the “growth group” and adapt to the individual’s growth and self-reflection. The inducted conclusion and suggestions will be provided for future reference for the teachers’ growth groups and the radio media.
