In the product conceptual design stage, the designers through the draft will be the idea from abstract to concrete. The product concept development stage is critical to the success of the product it precedes the design stage and launch of the actual product development process. However, the process is risky and uncertain. Efficient design evaluation is crucial to avoiding the risk of new product development. In this paper, we construct a fuzzy synthetic evaluation method for selecting an optimum design from various design alternatives is proposed. A sanitary equipment product design is presented in this study to understand the characteristics of the proposed method. The result shows that the evaluation methods of practicality and objectivity, it is also can help decision makers, promote the decision quality and provide the industry with a set of new product development mechanism to follow. In doing so, the chance for success in the new product development can be increased and the market risk for it lowered.
