題名:軟實力下的新亞洲文化貼近性與現代性:韓國電視戲劇在東亞地區觀眾之接受因素探究

綜觀歷史,韓國從未達到區域強國的標準,但韓劇卻在1990年代開始創造了跨國性的收視奇蹟,韓國流行文化也開始在東亞地區盛行。韓國流行文化在東亞的興起讓國際與文化交流理論有機會重新被檢驗,也證明文化帝國理論太過於武斷,已經無法完全詮釋全球化背景下新文化強國的興起。不論是從文化帝國主義或是文化貼近性理論來看,韓國流行文化的興起都是理論上的異例。韓國處於區域經濟和文化體制的中間位置,在東亞區域體系不平等卻又積極投入全球化及現代化過程的氣氛下,韓國流行文化讓東亞各國對亞洲現代性的不同發展階段有了更彈性的認同,東亞地區的結構性轉變已經展現出一個以現代性形式來賦予文化貼近性的新現象。藉由分析發現中國、日本、台灣與越南對韓國戲劇的接受度,依其在區域內全球化與工業化過程中所處結構位置而各有不同的展現。因此,這些不同地區的觀眾對韓國電視戲劇所呈現的亞洲現代性的認定接受因素也有所區別,分別是日本的回溯、中國與越南的展望,與台灣的同期等認定接受現象。
Korean popular culture has become popular in East Asia since late 1990s, and this cultural phenomenon was analyzed from the perspectives of cultural imperialism and cultural proximity. This study suggests that structural transformation in East Asia had showed an emerging sense of cultural proximity in the form of modernity. Through the text analysis of selected exported Korean TV dramas, the audiences of four different countries identified with different sense of Asian modernity presented in Korean TV dramas: retrospective (Japan), prospective (China and Vietnam), and contemporaneous (Taiwan).
