There are two linguistic families in Taiwan, Chinese and Austronesian. The Austronesian has 14 languages with over 40 divergent dialects. Except the standard language Mandarin, there are two languages of Chinese, Minnan and Hakka with some dialects each one.This paper aims to take a regionalization and draw linguistic maps for the distribution of main varieties in Taiwan from the perspective of linguistic geography.
