It's a report of the field work held in 2011 at the Ba-lan designated site which existed between 1100B.P. to 600 B.P. in Taitung . The field work consisted of two parts. In the first part of the work, researchers attempted to indentify the site area by investigation and then differentiated the whole area estimated 25,000 m^2 to 4 sections named section1 to section 4. on research purpose .The archaeological work team discovered and recorded 223 pebble structures classified into 7 types in section 1 to section 3. Among the pebble structures registered, some are secondary structures constructed by modern farmers, and most of them are original remains from ancient household, such as stone wall, pillars, floor and interior slate coffin. In the second part of the work, the archaeologists also took excavation in a small area to evaluate prehistory stratum conserved at the Ba-lan site.
