Based on the General Theory of Crime, this study explored the phenomenon of sexual recidivism including recidivism ratio, types of criminal, and the relationship between the age and the recidivism. Secondary data analysis was employed to analyze the collected data. The collaborative study sites were Kaohsiung, Taichung, and Taipei Prison. A total of 1002 study participants paroled or discharged from the prison were recruited from the collaborative sites from the year 2006 to 2007. The study findings reveal (1) sexual recidivism in Taiwan is lower than in other countries; (2) the ratio of non-sexual recidivism is higher than sexual recidivism supported by A General Theory of Crime; (3) frequency of sexual recidivism occurred outside the family more than inside the family; and (4) older offenders recidivated less than younger offenders.
