This study was to explore the difference of the attitude and cognition of police officers who did and did not participate in the domestic violence risk classification experimental program. A questionnaire was developed to collect 42 officers whether they had more knowledge on abuse types, risk levels, proper protection for victims, and proper prevention for abuser etc. The result showed that the officers under the program had more knowledge on abuse models, risk levels, and the proper prevention for abusers and most of them agreed that the program helped the process fluence, but they might not have confidence to successfully prevent futher abuse as well as protect victims in need as the purpose which the program orginally designed. The advantage and disadvantage of the program suggested by the officers were also being discussed to help future amendment for the program to have better effect on victim protection and abuse prevention.
