本研究是以社會學交換理論的理論架構來說明已婚婦女之婚姻品質的決定因素。
供作資料分析的隨機樣本是選自台中縣市的 900 位 40 歲或 40 歲以下的已婚婦女。 用作
分析的變項包括: 婦女的教育程度、夫婦所得差距、婦女就業身分、夫婦權力分配、性別角
色認知、親友網絡、家務分工、婚姻滿意程度、丈夫社會經濟資源、價值共識程度、以及婚
姻衝突等。 統計分析方法有迴歸分析、 區辨函數分析、 邏輯迴歸、 以及因徑分析 (Path
Analysis)。資料分析結果顯示:(1) 婦女教育程度愈高，夫婦價值共識較強、傳統父權較弱
、親友支持網絡愈多、丈夫分擔較多家務; (2) 夫婦所得差距愈大，夫婦價值共識愈強、婦
女從事較多的家事、夫婦權力愈傾向於父權; (3) 丈夫職業聲望愈高，夫婦價值共識愈高、
親友支持網絡愈多; (4) 夫婦價值共識程度、夫婦家務分配模式、以及親友支持網絡是影響
已婚婦女婚姻品質較為重要的變項。社會學互換理論的平等互惠的互動原則，以及一個人在
社會互換過程中資源的相對量將導致支配或依賴的互動關係，在本論文的經驗資料中獲得了
驗證。

housework shared by their husband. (2) Those women whose economic income are
more different from their husband are higher consensus of social values with
their husband, are usually doing more housework and more patriarchal authority
in their family. (3) Those women whose husband has higher occupational prestige
are higher consensus of social values with their husband and more social support
from relatives and friends. (4) Consensus of social values between husband and
wife, housework allocation patterns, and support network of relatives and
friends are three significant antecedents affecting marital quality of married
women. The principle of reciprocity and the relationship between resource and
domination/subordination in the process of social exchange are supported by the
empirical evidences in this paper.
