題名:高中(職)學生生命教育菸害防制教學模組介入效果之研究-以花蓮縣為例

吸菸不但會對個人健康造成傷害,二手菸、三手菸亦會危及周遭人們的健康。自2009年菸害防制新法實施以來,高中(職)學生的吸菸率雖有下降趨勢,然而花蓮縣高中(職)生吸菸率較整體高且開始有向上攀升趨勢,故本研究主要目的是了解在「生命教育菸害防制教學模組」介入後,對花蓮縣高中職生菸害防制之成效。
本研究採準實驗研究設計,以2017學年花蓮縣高中(職)一、二年級學生為研究對象,分別招募實驗組與控制組各213人。實驗組接受6週「生命教育菸害防制教學模組」班級課程,控制組則維持原本的課程。本研究以結構式問卷調查取得前後測資料,問卷包括社會人口學變項、拒菸自我效能量表、菸害認知量表、拒菸防制態度量表、拒菸行為意向量表、心理彈性力量表及生命意義感量表。資料分析以SPSS 22.0統計套裝軟體進行。
研究結果顯示:(1)生命教育菸害防制教學模組介入措施對提升高中(職)學生拒菸自我效能、拒菸防制態度及生命意義感具有成效;(2)生命教育菸害防制教學模組介入措施對提升高中(職)學生菸害認知、拒菸行為意向及心理彈性力成效不顯著。此研究提供了「生命教育菸害防制教學模組」能有效提升花蓮縣高中職生拒菸自我效能、拒菸防制態度及生命意義感的證據,期望此教學模組能夠引領學生藉由體認愛惜生命、尊重生命、關懷生命的基礎下,探尋生命意義與生命目標、增加拒菸率與降低吸菸率,並提供未來生命教育發展與推動時,能成為特色教育計畫之參考。
Smoking can cause harm not only to smokers’ personal health, but also to others’ health via second-hand and third-hand smoke. While a report indicated a decreased smoking rate among high school students in Taiwan after the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act rolled out in 2009, it was relatively higher and showed an increasing trend in Hualien County. The present study was therefore aimed to examine the effects of the Program of Life Education for Smoking Prevention on (vocational) senior high school students in Hualien County.
By means of a quasi-experimental design, the study enrolled senior high school students in the first or second grade in Hualien County. The numbers of students in the intervention and control groups were both 213. Students in the intervention group received a Program of Life Education for Smoking Prevention for 6 weeks in addition to usual courses. In contrast, students in the control group received usual courses only. This study conducted a survey based on a structured questionnaire to collect data of pre-test and post-test. The questionnaires included variables of sociodemographic items, knowledge of tobacco, self-efficacy, attitude, and behavioral intention toward tobacco refusal, psychological flexibility, and the meaning of life. All the data analyses were performed by using of IBM SPSS Statistics version 22.
The result showed that the intervention significantly improved both self-efficacy and attitude toward tobacco refusal and the meaning of life. However, knowledge of tobacco, behavioral intention to tobacco refusal, and psychological flexibility all showed no significant improvement. The findings of this study provided evidence for that Program of Life Education for Smoking Prevention could be helpful for (vocational) senior high school students to improve their self-efficacy, attitude toward tobacco refusal, and the meaning of life. It suggests that such a program can lead students to explore the meaning and goals of life, increase the probability of tobacco refusal and reduce the smoking rate based on the foundation of care and respect for life. It is also expected that when developing and promoting life education, our findings can provide reference information for featured education programs.
