The entrepreneurial activity will be the focus of future economic development. Taiwan’s economic lifeline has always been to small and medium corporation as the main, so the entrepreneurship core competency to become a factor worth exploring. The purpose of this study was to understand the core competencies in successful entrepreneurs and build the list of core competencies in information-service industry. Through in-depth interview and in accordance with Spencer and Spencer “Basic Competency Model” and interviewed 10 successful entrepreneurs who began their own business on computer science and information-service industry. In this study, according to The National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship Education, summarized the interview results and analysis, and concluded that the 11 core competencies, including the cognitive of entrepreneurial processes, entrepreneur characteristics, basic business skills, communication skills, digital skills, professional innovation, financial management, human resource management, marketing management, operations management and risk management competency, within 3 domains as entrepreneurial skills, ready skills, and business functions. Furthermore, this study used analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to analyze the weighting of core competencies. As AHP analyzed, we conducted conclusions that the priority of weighting by core competencies domain were entrepreneurial skills (57.4%), ready skills(23.5%), and business functions (19.2%). The highest weight in domain layer is entrepreneur trait (33.8%), and secondary is entrepreneurial process of cognitive ability (24.5%), followed by the sort the results coincides with the results and the importance of the research interviews with entrepreneurs.
