本研究的目的是以運動樂趣、運動員認同和運動承諾的觀點，探討運動員生涯發展之關係。以298位臺灣大專甲組運動員(M=20.1±1.6歲)為研究對象，利用運動生涯發展量表、運動承諾量表、運動樂趣來源量表和運動員認同量表來進行研究。研究結果發現運動樂趣和運動生涯發展有高度的相關，運動認同和想要的承諾也有高度的相關，其餘變項彼此間也有中度的相關。以結構方程模式進行預測模式驗證，結果發現1.運動樂趣與運動員認同可以直接預測運動承諾的想要的承諾與必須的承諾以及運動生涯發展，且兩者可透過想要的承諾對生涯發展產生間接效果；2.運動樂趣會透過必須的承諾對生涯發展產生間接效果，運動員認同則無顯著的預測效果。透過本研究可瞭解運動員生涯發展不僅給予外在誘因鼓勵其發展，應深入思考其相關的心理或其他前置因素予以適當的輔導，以達到正向的運動員生涯發展情形。
The purpose of this research was to adopt the sport commitment to examine the relationship among sport enjoyment, athletic identity and athletic career development. Two hundred and ninety-eight elite athletics in Taiwan, aged from 18-22 years (M=20.1± 1.6) were participated in this study. All subjects were attended to Athletic Career Development Scale, Sport Commitment Scale, The Source of Sport Enjoyment Scale, and Athletic Identity Measurement Scale. Results of this research showed that sport career development correlated with athletic identity, sport enjoyment and sport commitment. In addition, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis found sport enjoyment, athletic identity and want-to-commitment directly and indirectly predicted career development. However, athletic identity failed to predict have-to-commitment. Therefore, when people encourage athletes to develop their career not only to give them extrinsic incentive but also to deeply understand the antecedents and related variables of their career development to achieve more positive effects of athletic career.
