本研究旨在探討軍校學生中國傳統價值觀和軍校社會化之間的關係。採用Chinese Culture Connection(1987)研究小組發展的40個價值項目(如:孝順、謙虛等),對312個學生作問卷調查,經統計分析,發現學生接受相當軍事教育之後,對中國價值理念的認同明顯增加,呈現類似“倒L”的曲線關係。因此顯示,軍校的社會化過程對強化學生中國價值理念有相當強烈且一致的正面影響。根據分析結果以及軍民院校的特性,作者推導出十個假說,作為未來對軍校及民間大學學生作檢驗之用。由於軍校社會化是被忽略的課題,作者呼籲管理界予以重視。
The study examined the relationships between cadets’ Chinese values and the socialization at military institutes. Using the 40 value items (e.g., fielial piety, humbleness) developed by Chinese Culture Connection (1987), 312 cadets were asked to answer how they perceived these values. Statistical results indicated that the subjects’ identification with the values increased significantly after they had experienced substantial military education, showing a somewhat “reversed L” relationship. Therefore, the military socialization was shown to have consistently positive impact on strengthening the Cadets’ Chinese values. Based on the findings as well as idiosyncracies of colleges and military academies, 10 hypotheses were established for future investigation of both cadets and college students. Since the relationships under examination has been a neglected topic, the author appeals for more attention to it.
