In the last years of the Ming dynasty, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in China have all developed to be quite mature: therefore, the convergence of these three traditions became one of the high light of this period. Some one even mentioned that these three traditions came from the same source historically. The Zen master Han Shan Der Ching is a distinguished thinker of this movement of Convergence. This paper aims at introducing Han Shan Der Ching's thought about the convergence of Confucianism and Buddhism. and makes some comments on his work. In the mean time it also discusses his commentarial works on the Confucian Classics, such as "The Great Learning" (大學) and "The golden Mean" (中庸). Through his course of life, it is clear how he learned Confucian Classics and converged the Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. To discuss about Der Ching's theory and method of convergence is actually the point of emphasis in this paper.
