The purpose of the study was to establish dimensions of group counseling competencies and to develop a training model for leading children's groups. In the first stage of the study, 10 experts were interviewed for the group counseling training model. The Consensus Qualitative Research and Grounded Theory were used to reach the final training model, which includes the contents and methods for training children's group leaders. In the second stage, group counseling competencies checklist was developed. The reliability and validity of the checklist were supported by the data in this study.
