企業在開發產品時需要各個策略層級間的配合,而「設計」是一項重要的整合資源,也是新產品開發功能整合的重要機制,對企業競爭優勢的影響甚巨。過去學者雖重視「產品開發策略」或「產品設計策略」等相關研究,但大多是以概念性發展策略內容為主,較少提出較完整的架構研究。另一方面,「設計核心能力」是設計實務執行的最重要環節,與前述策略層級關係密切。本文即以產品設計策略及設計核心能力為主題,希望由文獻探討法與內涵分析法,分析廠商在產品設計策略與設計核心能力間的搭配情形,並提出能構成之策略執行設計策略與設計核心能力構成及其對產品開發績效的影響之關聯架構,研究發現可以增進設計策略的理論基礎。
In developing new products, it is necessary that an enterprise can make its strategic levels coordinate. Design is not only a vital resouce integration but also an important mechansim of the integration of new product development fuctions. It has a significant influence on the competition priority of an enterprise. In the past, though researchers put a lot of emphsis upon related studies on product development strategy or product design strategy, most of them focused on conceptual development strategy. Few conceptual framework studies are found. More importantly, design core competence is a key loop in the execution of designing activity and has a close tie with each strategic level. In this study, literature reviews and content analysis are used as research method to explore the coordination of product design stratgy and design core competence, the framework of strategic execution and its effect on product development performance through literature reviews. Such a study is aimed at enhanceing the theorical foundation of design strategy.
