In the Chinese dialects, the Southern Min dialects preserves the most of the literary and colloquial readings. The number of the literary and colloquial readings of Hsian dialects in Human, is not as much as Southern Min dialects, but it is the crucial element of the classification of the Chinese dialects and helps us to understand the transition of the different language strata in Human. The literary and colloquial readings of Hsian dialects in Human concentrates in the keng (梗) rhyme group. Based on the related studies, the colloquial reading of the keng (梗) rhyme group in the Chinese south-east dialects widespread presents in the reading of low vowel . Chhiyang preserves the most typical example of the early period of the colloquial reading of the keng (梗) rhyme group in the central district of Hsiang dialects in Hunan. The augment is that the study of Chhiyang will be a hint of understanding the face of different language strata in Human and a consideration in the classification of the Hunan dialects.
