題名:如何增進學生英文的閱讀能力

本文採用內容分析法,期能深入探討與英文閱讀教學有關的問題,研析、整合相關的文獻、理論、策略與技能,提供建言,幫助學生有效的閱讀英文。研究結果建議,我們應設法建構優良的英語文教學環境,降低一般學生的學習焦慮,啟發學生學習英語文之興趣與動機,採用適當的方法與策略,盡可能的實施能力分級與會考制度,教材除教科書外,宜鼓勵學生培養閱讀英文書報、雜誌和小說的興趣與習慣,由淺而深,經常大量的閱讀,並配合生動活潑之多媒體、網路教學,期能幫助學生有效的閱讀,提昇英文閱讀教學的品質。
This study adopts content analysis method to explore related literature and tries to integrate theories, concepts and strategies concerning how to enhance EFL students’ reading ability. The results of this study suggest that a better result of EFL teaching and learning can be achieved through lowering learning anxiety and raising interest as well as motivation. We should take advantages of technology to build a good EFL learning environment for our students and encourage them to apply a good learning strategy to read English effectively. This paper also suggests that a placement test for appropriate English courses should be taken. Teaching materials should include textbooks coupled with English newspaper, magazines, interesting multimedia and web-based learning.
