The main task of this article is focusing on the formation of Taiwan modern poetics which mainly analyzes the development of the contradictory concepts: departure/resistance, modernity/reality, existence/nihilism, purity and politics. By means of clarifying previous concepts, I try to explain the content of modernity of Taiwan modern poetics. In conclusion, it is not necessarily contradictory for the autonomy of modern poetry and political realities. The development of modern poetry in Taiwan is on the basis of that art reflected nature. Furthermore, this so-called affirmative modernism can not be understood as reflection or negation to political realities.
