Recreation specialization was widely used for various recreational activities researches (such as: hiking, boating, bird watching, etc.) But still lack of camping activities domestic. In addition, this study researched whether there were any differences on personal characteristics and leisure benefits among the various types of family-campers. Data were collected using on-site questionnaires and 447 family-campers were completed. A cluster-analysis procedure was used to differentiate five subgroups of family-campers, each of which showed different degree in cognitive, behavioral and affective system. Campers with different specialization styles showed significant differences in their background. The specialized styles of family campers also indicated significant differences in their leisure benefits. Subsequently, evidence was presented to show that the higher levels of specialization, the greater leisure benefits. The result was suggested to be useful references for the managerial sectors, camping supplies industries, and camping clubs when setting up their managerial strategies.
