This article intends to reflect on the transpersonal self-realization of St. Teresa of Avila and the theory of Transpersonal Psychology of Maslow, which he developed late in his life. St. Teresa emphasized self-knowledge, humility, detachment and rich human relationships in her experience. The whole life of St. Teresa is marked by strong friendship with Christ, and this friendship is the cornerstone of her life. By gazing at Christ, she does not dwell on her smallness but sees herself through the eyes of Christ. This is the focus of Maslow in Transpersonal Psychology, that is, to see one’s spiritual self, true self, higher self in order to live a meaning life.
