Wife abuse has increasingly accepted as a public affair by the Taiwanese society during these years. However, previous studies and social work practice concerning this issue are limited. This research aims at exploring how social welfare agencies workers perceive the problems of services on battered women, including their experiences with different professional groups. To achieve the research goals, ten informants are explored by in-depth interview. The inter-professional collaboration have some obstacles need to be improved, e.g. lack of adequate policies and regulations, multiple administrative systems, self-interest among different groups, lack of consensus toward abused women and related services, financial support and workers are insufficient, lack of adequate monitor and evaluation, incomplete social service delivery system, etc. All these problems need to be solved. Implications are discussed in terms of the need to regulate policies, to establish effective inter-professional collaboration, to expenditures on women protective services, to establish the partnership een public and private sectors, and to monitor the social service delivery.
