A unit on the temperature-volume relationship of air was provided as a concrete example to illustrate the characteristics of a multi-situated teaching module. Eleven teaching activities are included in this unit, and they are arranged in an order from fundamental observation of phenomena to the establishment of concepts and then to the application of concepts to problem solving. Bruner's spiral curriculum conception and the theory of situated learning were combined as the rational of this module. The teaching activities had been conducted to some elementary students in Taipei area, and the experimental results showed that, by the detailed explanation of the teaching activities, the participants of this research realized how the ideas of learning by playing.
