John Wilson's views on moral education were developed through philosophizing and tring to build a bridge between theory and practice of moral education. The moral education theory of John Wilson used an interdisciplinary method (including philosophy, psychology and sociology) to explore related issues. His theory about moral education is specific and independent. Therefore, making a thorough inquiry into John Wilson's moral education theory can broaden moral education inquiry and literature in Taiwan. This article uses philosophizing as a research method, and is divided into four sections. First, John Wilson's morality theory which includes the meaning of morality, the fantasy of morality and the concept of virtues is discussed. Second, John Wilson's education theory which includes the distinctness of education, the rule of educators & instruction and learning is discussed. Third, John Wilson's moral education theory which includes aims, components, contents, teachers and assessments is discussed. Finally, the criticisms about John Wilson's views on moral education are discussed.
