The purpose of this study is to analyze higher education issues from two popular Taiwanese newspapers between the years 2005 to 2015. The author identified 7,447 higher education articles from both the United Daily News and Liberty Times editorials. A content analysis method was used to explore the research. The findings of this study are: a) the number of higher education issues covered in the United Daily News is different from the Liberty Times, b) in recent years, the higher education news accurately reflect important happenings and issues from those years, c) media organizations have a big influence on editorial content, and d) topics on Mainland China and student employment were written about the most frequently. Based on the above findings, this paper discusses previous research results and suggestions for future research.
