This study explored the tendency of interaction between college P. E. teachers and students. Next, it explored whether the relationship quality of interaction between college P. E. teachers and students would affect the sports commitment of the students. The samples were college students in Taiwan. A total of 600 questionnaires were sent out and 406 effective questionnaires were returned, with the response rate of the effective questionnaires of 67.66%. The one-way ANOVA, t-test and canonical analysis were used to analyze the data collected. The findings of this study were as follows. First, there was a difference in the relationship quality of college P. E. teachers and students between male and female students. Second, the students who participated in sports association had a higher relationship quality between college P. E. teachers and students than the students who did not participate in sports association. Third, the students who studied in the public colleges had a higher relationship quality between college P. E. teachers and students than the students who studied in the private colleges. Fourth, there were differences in the relationship quality between college P. E. teachers and students who spent various of days per week in exercise. Fifth, the relationship quality between college P. E. teachers and students could affect the sports commitment of the students.
