《西遊記》中的取經故事承衍了取經人向西天取經的史實，而小說最末的加陞情節，使得取經事件不再只是單純的世俗性任務，宗教性的修煉意義亦存在其中。本文指出體知是《西遊記》取經事件中，宗教修煉意義的主幹。同時，儘管世俗性的政治目的完成，但非人人也完成宗教修煉的終極目的，其中除了藏著各自的因果因素外，修煉意義的無間斷性更彰顯於文本當中。

According to the historical facts, there is the story about fetching the scriptures in The Journey To The West. Moreover, the plots of promotion in the end of this fiction not only make the fact being a secular mission but also fill of the meaning of religious asceticism in it. I would like to point out that the embodied knowing is the core of the meaning of religious asceticism in the fact of fetching the scriptures. Meanwhile, although the secular political purpose is achieved, the utmost goal cannot be completed by everyone-besides the factor of karma, the continuity of the ascetic meaning is the main point in this paper.
