本文藉韓非為眼,梳理了戰國時代對禪讓的諸學說,以見韓非對於當時流行見解有抄錄、接受、共鳴、反駁等不同態度,做了異常豐富的討論。韓非雖反對禪讓而贊成世襲,然而他贊成世襲也只是權宜後的選擇。本文提出改良世襲制和君主指定死後繼任者制做為符合韓非理想的更好制度。
I employ Han Fei as a key to map out various ideas about the abdication of the throne during the Warring States period. Along the way, I identify the ideas that Han Fei transmits, accepts, concurs, and refutes during his extensive discussions on this topic. While he dismisses the abdication of the throne as the wrong way and approves of hereditary succession, his approval of the latter is based on an assessment of its pros and cons. I therefore offer modifications to the principles of hereditary succession and appointing a Legalist official as heir as two proposals that better meet the ideals of Han Fei.
