美國領土面積廣大,生活上遇到大小事情需自行動手做並解決問題,無形當中形成創客精神。根據Anderson (2012)預測,十年中即將興起創客運動,使得自造業慢慢興起。「創客」成為近年來熱門的話題,只要是將創意轉化成實物、樂於分享,即可成為創客;創客聚在一起解決問題,互相交流想法、創意和技能。目前台灣創客僅以3D 列印、木工、機器人等發展,與教育做結合,讓大眾有空間發揮創造力,政府也積極推廣,創立公部門基地,使有想法的創客可參與免費課程活動、使用機具。但這樣免費推廣的效益,可以為創客帶來多少價值及延續性呢?本研究將以文獻回顧法蒐集各學者對於創客之定義、特質與整理相關研究,初步了解近年來創客的發展,再以專家訪談法,綜合產、官、學三方面專家的意見,分析台灣創客現況發展。本研究發現目前台灣創客多是由政府開免費課程及活動、交流會來推廣創客理念,而現況走向提倡創客精神,從相關研究看來,台灣創客的推廣相較於緩慢,看不到創客的存在價值,建議創客不應該被侷限,而是要朝多元化發展,或是將自己設計的產品以小量方式生產,獲取利潤,台灣政府要更加重視創客的精神、創客可以找出自己的市場,讓創客文化在台灣扎根。
The movement of Maker originated in the U.S., and is expected to develop into a mature industry in the next decade. The Maker movement is popular because anyone can be a Maker; Makers meet with each other to solve problems and exchange thoughts, creativity, and skills. In Taiwan, the Maker movement is integrated with education under the themes of 3D printing, woodworking, robotics, etc. The government also actively promotes those activities, and provides space in the public sector. Makers can participate in free courses and use the provided equipment. This study suggests that there should be no restriction on the Maker movement, and diverse development with small quantity of works should be encouraged while generating profits. Through literature review, this study collects scholars' definitions and characteristics of Makers, and reorganizes the related research to primarily explore the development of the Maker movement in Taiwan. Expert interviews were then conducted to collect opinions of industrial, official, and academic experts. This study analyzes the current development of the Maker movement in Taiwan, and finds that the Maker movement in Taiwan is mostly promoted by the government, which has introduced free courses, activities, and exchanges. Based on related research, promotion of the Maker movement in Taiwan is lacking, and its value is neglected. It is suggested that the Taiwan government should pay more attention to the spirit of the Maker movement. Makers can create their own market and engage in diverse developments to root the Maker culture in Taiwan.
