To help learner to create higher and deeper thinking ability is a new educational perspective in the new century, and it is also an important issue for adult education teachers to build their belief and skills in their professional field. Studies show that there is high relation among instruction effectiveness and teacher's professional capacity and his cognition of being a teacher. In addition, adult education teachers have active influence in selecting instruction style. Therefore, in order to give adult education teachers in adult education some suggestions, this article explains how effective instruction strategies in adult education can be achieved by ways of describing: (1) the differences between Pedagogy and Andragogy, (2) the understanding of the learning motivation of adult learner for practical use, (3) the understanding of the teacher's own instruction behavior, (4) the importance of establishing Cooperative Learning model, and (5) the recommendation of critical thinking instruction by explaining reasons and offering instruction strategies. Hoping this article can give adult education teachers some self-reflection and reference as well.
