This study want distinguish the fit of strategic configuration with organizational characteristics and its relationship with performance. Because the fit may mix different level and different characteristic of organization. So this study probes the whole and each strategic configuration of the electronic industry in Taiwan.
This study adopts system sampling method and send out 600 questionnaires in member of the electronic industry in Taiwan. The hypotheses are tested with 115 effective cases using Reliability Analysis, Correlation Analysis, Regression and ANOVA of SPSS tools. Empirical results appear that through the organization characteristic of Sample Company similar to the ideal profile organization can increase the explanation ability to performance. This increase explanation ability could from the obviously level of significances that the ideal profile value of all sample companies, the ideal profile value of defender and the ideal profile value of prospector. So we can establish the hypothesis that through the fit of strategic configuration with organizational characteristics, it can increase the ability to performance.
And this result of study can help the enterprises to find out about the present situation of one's own strategic configuration, and look for suitable strategic configuration, and then through organizing the imitation of the characteristic with Benchmarking enterprises, can seek to behave in better organization's performance.
