The purpose of the present study was to investigate and screen mental health disturbed students. Participants of this research were the students of Evening Division, Day Division and Master of the midland University of Technology freshmen. The total sample was 3, 921 freshmen and 3,498 completed questionnaires, 89.2 % respond rare. It was found all university freshmen have 484 mental health disturbed freshmen, 13.8% rare. There are 5.9% mental health disturbed students have suicide ideas and want to see psychiatric doctor. In particular, 100 mental health disturbed students have suicide ideas and self-hurt behaviors and 106 mental health disturbed students who want to see psychiatric doctor. The mental health disturbed freshman indicated that they had thought confusedly, sleep disturbed, low emotion, and valueless. It’s similar to depression. In addition, 2.2% and 3.3% mental health disturbed freshman had obsessive thought and behavior, audition hallucination and delusion individually. Obviously, freshman who perceived distress were more likely to have mental disturbed. Finally, according to the results, this investigate proposed some suggestions to those in at-risk freshmen guidance and program evaluation.
