瘂弦的作品不多，然而關於瘂弦的評論篇章卻相當驚人，讓我們看到「眾聲喧嘩」之千姿百態。然而，也就因為如此，我們看到討論瘂弦作品的焦點集中在某些論題上，對「空間」跟詩學之間的詮解很少，儘管瘂弦的詩饒富「空間意象」與氛圍。本文試圖從瘂弦《深淵》裡的航行意象及流動空間出發，在其「賴以生存的譬喻」間，透過詩人所經營的創作與思維中，觀察詩人的「命運、風險與災害」及面對死亡之「社會風險」概念。希冀藉此窺得當時社會的狀況，以及「深淵」所在／流動所顛綻的創作美學

This Research stays closely on the subject of ＂space＂, and through which, it explore the poet's particularities and achievements. Also, ＂space＂ is clearly defined so as to highlight the fact that the particular aesthetics and discourses of textual space is often overlooked in the reflections done in the Epic tradition.
