Wei-Chin, and Six Dynasties were dark and confused ages. Wars happened continuously. Economics were sluggish and people lived very hard lives. It was just the same as what Chao-Chao described in A Visit To Kao-Lee: "White bones were exposed in the wild, and the cock-crow couldn't be heard within a thousand miles. "It was also described in Wang-Tsang's Poem About Seven Kinds of Sadness: "I can see nothing when I go out except the white bones exposed in the plain." Metaphysics arose when Confucian thoughts diverged and Taoist thoughts broke up. Metaphysics influenced literatures greatly, then it brought about lyric essays about philosophy, immortals, gardens. Literary Discussions included Literary Poetry by Lu-Chih, Literary Mind and Craving Dragons by Liu-Shieh, Tastes of Poems by Chung-Jung. This study just discusses the relation between the Metaphysics of Wei-Chin Dynasty and Literary Discussions of Six Dynasties. Except the Preface and Conclusion, this study can be divided into seven chapters: it discusses the external factors which formed the metaphysics of Wei-Chin Dynasty; the transformation of the interior thoughts; their characteristics and meanings. The it analyses the Metaphysics of Wei-Chin Dynasty used in Literary Discussions of Six- Dynasties, such as in Original Discussion, it mentioned "non-existing", "heavenly theory", "body and function"; in Discussion of Literary Skills, it mentioned 'breath", "mind", "emotion"; in Discussion on Literary Styles, it mentioned "various gifts"; in Discussion on Literary Critics, it mentioned critics on writers and their writtings. From the above analyses, we may get a clear idea about the relation between the Metaphysics of Wei-Chin and Literary Discussions of Six Dynasties.
