The Red Chamber Dream is one of the Chinese literature masterpieces accomplished during prosperous Chin Dynasty. The content of this book describes miscellaneous affairs happened in a big, influential family and this family's rise and fall. Nevertheless, recent academic scholars of Chinese Literature generally consider that Mr. Jia Pau-yu is the reflection of author himself. Although the author didn't catch up golden time of this family, he had heard and seen many luxcious life styles while he was young. Later, when leading a destitute life, he accomplished The Red Chamber Dream with the mixture of memories and personal fantacy of perfect paradise. Therefore, this masterpiece is not classified as realistic novel. However, there are still many plots that cannot escape from the influence of contemporary environment and reflects some levels of real life. Religious behavior can be one of the examples. This paper relies on concepts of religious behavior in the science of religion to discuss folk sorcery taboo, prays and sacrifices in The Red Chamber Dream. The purpose of this paper is to realize the general religious belief of the influential and wealth people in traditional Chinese society at that period of time. It reveals the Ming and Chin Dynastie's general religious belief of people and understanding of the big flow of Chinese religious history.
