題名:國小學童「科學態度」及「對科學的態度」之研究--以植物的生長教學活動為例

     本研究是以自行設計的「植物的生長」教學活動進行教學,探討活動中國小學童「科學態度」和「對科學的態度」,及其變化情形。研究中將「科學態度」分為五個向度:彈性、客觀性、因果關係、好奇和批判精神;「對科學的態度」則是指「對種植活動的態度」。研究方法採質量並重的方式蒐集資料,分別於活動前、後以「國小學童科學態度量表」及「對種植活動的態度量表」施測,以t檢定對前後測得分進行考驗;除了學生文件和教師札記,並輔以觀察、晤談等方式蒐集資料。研究結果顯示:1.「植物的生長」教學活動能提昇學童「對科學的態度」;2.「植物的生長」教學活動能提昇女生的科學態度,但使得男生部分科學態度下滑,而全體的科學態度則沒有顯著的變化;3.合適的教學活動設計,可提昇學童對活動的投入程度,進而增強學童「科學態度」與「對科學的態度」。
      This research paper purports to compare elementary students' change of "scientific attitudes" and "attitudes toward science" before and after the plants' growth activity designed by the researcher. Of students of different preference to the plants' growth instruction, the research further analyzes their changes in "scientific attitudes." Dimensions to measure students' "scientific attitudes" include flexibility, objectivity, relationship between cause and effect, curiosity and critical thinking. "Attitudes toward science" defines as the attitudes to plant activity. Qualitative and quantitative approaches take equal part in conducting this research. Pupils took the "Instrument for Measuring Elementary Students' Scientific Attitudes" and "Attitudes Toward Planting." T-test is applied to pupils' performance before and after the instruction. Meanwhile, students' portfolio and teacher's journal, observation and interview are other important data for collection. The results showed that: 1. After the plants' growth activity, both boys' and girls' "attitudes toward science" upgrade. 2. After the plants' growth activities, pupils' variation in "scientific attitudes" stay unchanged, girls' "scientific attitudes" are boosted, but boys' "scientific attitudes" in flexibility and objectivity turn out to recede. 3. A learner-friendly teaching activity motivates students' involvement and thereby enhances pupils' "scientific attitudes" and "attitudes toward science".
