家庭在協助發展遲緩兒童接受療育的過程中，必須面對多重的困難，正因為如此，實務工作者容易從問題、缺陷的角度思考家庭的需求，忽略了家庭本身具有的能量與資源。這不僅使得服務對象無法從服務過程中，發現與肯定自己的優勢，進而累積解決問題的動機與能量；也使得家庭與專業之間難以形成平等的伙伴關係。作者期待藉由本文的撰寫，透過相關文獻與研究的探討，以優勢觀點為基礎，整理出協助發展遲緩兒童家庭之個案工作服務方法，以供早期療育實務工作者在進行處遇之參考，並激發實務工作者嘗試運用不同服務模式的行動。
The family must encounter multiple difficulty to assistant their developmental delay children to accept service in the early intervention. Therefore, practical workers usually think about needs of families from their problems and deficiencies, ignore the strength and resource of families. The method of work will let families can’t discover and confirm their strengths and accumulate their power and motive to solve problems, social work profession and families can’t work in partnership. The author organizes related theories and technical literatures for further discussion and organizes service methods of case work from strengths perspective for families with developmental delay children. The author hopes the method can assistant practical workers provide service to families with developmental delay children and then can arouse the social worker in the disability field to apply different intervention methods.
