This study discusses the "aesthetics" of the modern indigenous Chinese literature from the symbolic forms of aesthetics and the ability of perceptual awareness. The symbolic forms of aesthetics confirm and emphasize on the validity of reading and criticizing the modern indigenous Chinese literature in Taiwan from the perspective of formalist aesthetics. If the indigenous literature works contain the characteristics of both literature and ethnography, the reading techniques and the perspectives of criticism shall vary. As taking aesthetics as a discussion of perceptual awareness, it focuses more on the definition of aesthetics. In indigenous literature, the inspiration of the authors is often derived from the fields of traditional life practices. The life philosophy of living in and out literature shows a sort of awareness that is to live harmoniously with everything and have sharp perceptions towards life. This study also represents the writing logic of "living-writing out literature", namely the state of "living at the moment". Moreover, the "writing" of literature has also established the value and the meaning of "Chinese literature"
