This study adopts the Ecological System Theory to induce and explain the factors influencing family child-rearing arrangement.38 effective samples were taken from women receiving prenatal care in various gynecological and obstetrical institutes in central Taiwan. Semi-organized family interviews were given. The results of this study are: 1.Child-rearing arrangement: the most popular choice is relative (paternal/maternal grandparents or others) care-16(42.1%).; 2.Mother's ideal child-rearing arrangement is Mother care-20(52.6%).; 3.Child-rearing arrangement decision making are made by both father and mother-18(47.4%).; 4.Factors influencing child-rearing arrangement are including micro-system, meso-system, Exo-system, and macro-system.
