New connotations keep enriching the concept of human right as time changes. Yu Zheng-xie, who was born in the era of Jia-dao of Ching Dysnaty, held strong belief of human rights. He especially looked highly on the basic human right and dignity. Just if the core meaning of the basic human right indicated ”the self-fulfillment of human,” which includes ”self expansion” and ”self decision,” then, the value of ”human dignity” should be that a human needs to be treated as a human, as a equal-valued human being, instead of being treated as an animal or even being materialized. Hence, it is obvious that Yu Zheng-xie's thought of equal human right means the thought of human dignity. Therefore, he said ”the propriety lies in the humanity.” In various social aspects, Yu always came out against any unequal mistreatment, claiming those mistreated people's social rights and justice. However, whom on earth did Yu promoted the social rights and justice for? and how did he manifest the thought of the equal human right? I will investigate these questions in my dissertation.
