The personnel of the modern military organizations in most countries is composed of both active duty officers and civil servants. The purpose of recruitment for civil servants is to utilize their expertise and help attaining military goals. Therefore, based on relevant theories in the area of organizational behaviors, this study aims to explore the factors that influence civil servants' job satisfaction. Relationships between views of work, job involvement, and job satisfaction were examined in this study. By using questionnaires, this study collects data from the samples of civil servants in the Ministry of National Defense of R.O.C. The empirical results in this study are shown as follows. 1.The intrinsic value of views of work is positively related to job involvement and the compensation of work is negatively related to job involvement. 2.The intrinsic value of views of work is positively related to job satisfaction. 3.The dedication and effort of job involvement are positively related to job satisfaction. Finally, based on the results of this study, we provided suggestions for military organizations, and we also discussed the implications for academics and management in detail.
