本研究目的為瞭解運動員與非運動員多元智慧與品格發展之差異。共發出問卷396份(含網路填答),有效問卷共計305份,有效問卷率為77.02%。單因子多變量變異數分析與獨立樣本t檢定分析之,結果為:一、運動員在「人際智慧」、「肢體動覺智慧」、「內省智慧」與「品格發展」上顯著高於非運動員。二、運動員與非運動員在「空間智慧」、「音樂智慧」與「自然觀察智慧」上並無顯著差異。三、非運動員在「語文智慧」與「邏輯數學智慧」上顯著高於運動員。本研究的結果確認了運動員除了肢體動覺智慧外,尚具有其他高發展的智慧。最後建議日後研究應隨時關注多元智慧理論的最新發展,並再加入觀察或訪談等資料作為佐證,此外,針對運動員以強勢智慧引領弱勢智慧發展的「搭橋」策略,亦為日後應致力研究的方向。
This study was to examine the difference on Multiple Intelligences and character development between athletes and non-athletes. 396 questionnaires (internet questionnaires included) were sent out, and 305 effective questionnaires were returned. t test was used to analyze the collected data. The findings of this study were as follows: First, athletes were significantly superior to non-athletes on Interpersonal Intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, and character development. Second, There were no significant differences on Spatial Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, and Naturalist Intelligence. Third, athletes were significantly inferior to non-athletes on Linguistic Intelligence and Logical-Mathematical Intelligence. The results replied the question of scholars in the past and confirmed that athletes did have other higher intelligences. The results of the current study suggest that newest development of Multiple Intelligences should be paid close attention to, and qualitative methods such as observation and interview may be used to confirm the results in future studies. Moreover, "Bridge" among higher and lower intelligences of athletes should also be the direction to striven to.
