目的：本研究旨在探析臺灣頂尖運動選手國家認同觀的論述型塑。方法：採用Q方法論為研究工具，以曾經參與國際級運動賽事的16位運動選手為對象，進行調查與訪談。結果：確立四個論述－中華民族認同、臺灣意識、維持現狀、認同混淆。結論：不同論述者的形成乃是受到政治（臺灣民主化發展）與文化（數十年的文化區隔思考）等因素影響，並於統一與獨立的議題爭辯、共享民主的機制中發展，以此體認臺灣的事實自主與獨立。而多數受訪者之國家認同以「臺灣」為其意向，「臺灣主體意識」已成主流。
Purposes: This study addressed the shaping of the discourses on national identity by Taiwan's top class athletes. Methods: The Q methodology was employed for collecting data and, in total, 16 athletes were investigated and interviewed. Results: Four discourses were identified, namely: Chinese nationalism, Taiwan nationalism, status-quo-ism, and confused identity. Conclusions: The formation of the discourses was influenced by both political (development of Taiwan's democratization) and cultural (divided thinkings in decades) factors. Meanwhile, it has been developed within the debates over the unity and independence, sharing of a democratic mechanism, and thus to realize the values of Taiwan's autonomy and independence. Among them, participants have identified 'Taiwan' as their preference in relation to national identities in which 'Taiwan consciousness' has been prioritized.
