本文分別探究西方表達性書寫與本土性心理位移書寫的書寫療癒。文中第一部份探究西方表達性書寫之效益,包括表達性書寫能改善書寫者的身體和心理健康等,並且針對表達性書寫如何產生效益加以探究。第二部份則介紹運用「我、你、他及再回到我」不同人稱位格來書寫同一經驗的本土性心理位移書寫之效益,包括情緒改變、增加自我覺察、認知改變、自我療癒與人際行為及關係的改變等。第三部份則比較西方表達性書寫與本土心理位移書寫不同之處。西方表達性書寫為單一位格之書寫,本土性之心理位移書寫則為不同位格轉換之書寫,因此部份的比較集中焦點在心理位移書寫中不同位格之書寫特徵與功能以及不同位格之相互影響,希望藉此協助讀者對兩種書寫療癒方式有更進一步之瞭解。
