This study treated new immigrants as the subjects, and aimed to verify the correlational model comprised of leisure motivation, leisure activity participation, leisure constraints and leisure benefits. By purposeful sampling, this study retrieved 466 effective samples. Using structural equation modeling as an analysis method, to analyze by statistical analysis software LISREL8.7. The results indicated that: 1.leisure motivation was negatively correlated with leisure activity participation; 2.leisure motivation was negatively correlated with leisure constraints; 3.leisure constraints were negatively correlated with leisure activity participation; 4.leisure constraints were negatively correlated with leisure benefits. Since leisure constraints were an intermediary to leisure motivation, leisure activity participation and leisure benefits, new immigrants might achieve a higher willingness of leisure activity participation through overcoming these constraints. With regard to leisure constraints, structural constraints, interpersonal constraints and individual‘s inner constraints were three factors by the order of priority. The major constraints that face new immigrants were some structural constraints produced from the outer circumstances such as time and money, rather than personal or interpersonal factors. In addition, the effects of these constraints were far too strong, which immensely affected these new immigrants' willingness to partake of leisure activities. Meanwhile, the benefits could hardly meet their expectation, which means that they have enjoyed very little positive effect after partaking of activities.
